Rodney Sinclair, Maintenance Supervisor, was typically skeptical in the beginning. H L Chapman Pipeline Construction, "the largest trenching and mass rock excavation company in the world", was convinced on the superior performance of aluminum complex grease when testing showed a greater than 50% reduction in grease consumed during a particularly difficult job in Florida. Rodney advises he was expecting the sea level job would require two units due to mechanical failure directly related to greasing. What he discovered was, not only did the one unit complete the job, but all components showed such little wear, none had to be replaced. Since that test, H L Chapman has converted every piece of equipment to Schaeffer's 221 grease. Not only did the #221 Moly Ultra EP solve his washout problems increasing his productivity, it also reduced his grease consumption by about half. Rodney estimates the #221 has had a financal impact into the thousands of dollars.
